2018 Reflections & Highlights
Wow, 2018 officially flew right by me. I didn’t know a whole year could feel like three, short months.
Well, in light of the new year coming, I felt like I wanted to take a couple of moments to sit back and reflect on all the awesome things 2018 brought me professionally and personally. I actually had an entire blog post written about my year. But, then when I was reading through it, I couldn’t help but realize; wow, this really reminds me of those letters you get in the mail from your long lost Aunt, describing what she did throughout the entirety of her last year. That didn’t sit well with me, and I couldn’t put my readers through that. Instead, let’s take a more millennial approach, and go on a visual journey that depicts some of the best highlights of my 2018. Enjoy!
I was featured in the Winter edition of Vermont Bride Magazine alongside some other amazing vendors organized by Mei Lin Barral Photography.
I was also involved in an amazing styled shoot at a gorgeous family estate in Ferrisburgh, Vermont hosted by Erin Spinner of Hoehl to the Mrs. Planning Services.
My beloved EAGLES WON THE SUPERBOWL! My husband and I took the trip to Philly for the parade.
And, of course, we ate a Cheesesteak every day. Just like the doctor ordered. My favorite out of the entire trip was the classic Carmen’s from Reading Terminal Market. It was out-of-control good.
Tied for second with a more creative twist was the Cheesesteak Eggroll from Continental Midtown. I’ve eaten that dish about 3 times now. It’s sick.
I was invited to participate in a live, experiential wedding show. It was unlike any other event I’ve ever been a part of. Instead of just showing pretty pictures of our work, Tonya from Pellegrini Events in Saratoga invited Wedding Planners from the entire Northeast to come to Saratoga Springs to view multiple wedding venues and to show off the work of countless vendors. It was an amazing experience and I hope to be a part of it again!

My husband and I went on vacationnnnnn! Yahoooo!
We hit Sedona for some mountain biking, the Grand Canyon, and Viva Las Vegas for a family event and then for a few crazy days on the strip!
During the month of June, I had TWO lovely sets of clients be married!
Lizzy & Kyle and Chantal & Nate
& Nate !
married on 06.30.2018
I participated in The Knot Pro Boston event and met some awesome New England vendors! That event was a great way for me to start to integrate into the Boston community. I hope they do it again next year!
My dear clients, Caitlin & Isaac were married this month. Just look at the smiles on their faces. It warms your heart!
I had FOUR sets of clients be married in September! It was a whirlwind of a month, that’s for sure! But, I wouldn’t have had it any other way. See the amazing couples on their wedding day, below.
During this month, I was lucky enough to have THREE more clients tie the knot! Check out my beautiful clients on their wedding days, below.
CONGRATULATIONS Arianna & Stephen!
Married on 10.19.2018 at The Inn at Erlowest, NY
I ran the Philadelphia Marathon which was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.
I hosted a 12 person Thanksgiving dinner four nights later. I do not recommend this situation.
And I had one set of lovely clients tie the knot!
I celebrated the holidays with my family in Pennsylvania and honored our tradition of going to an Eagles game. GO BIRDS!
Another set of wonderful clients tied the knot at the stunning Woodstock Inn and Resort in Woodstock, Vermont. If you ever have the chance to visit Woodstock, I highly recommend it!
This year was busy! I was able to accomplish so much with Sugarhouse Stationery this year, but as you can see the already growing list on the right, I am always hungry for more! Overall, 2018, you’ve been good to me. And that’s something to celebrate.
Most of all, I am so grateful to have this year filled with wonderful client work. I made so many amazing relationships with my couples; I love looking at their wedding photos because I can really see how happy they are on that special day. I get teary eyed, too! I hope that I am able to keep in touch with them as they experience married life, together!
There is so much more on my to-do list that it might take a whole year to complete it! I have some small goals that I would like to achieve, but I know that life also happens as these years pass by. So, I will remember to be gentle with myself if I don’t end up achieving all of them. But, what’s a better place than here to jot some goals and aspirations for the New Year? Here we go!
Double my booked clients in 2019
Set up a retail section on my website
Set up an Etsy Shop to sell some of my retail items
Win 2020 Best of Weddings
Meet more New Hampshire and Massachusetts wedding vendors
Visit some awesome wedding venues in my new state and make some new connections
Run two Half Marathons
And I know there’s more, but I can’t think of any more right now!
I hope you enjoyed looking back on my 2018 journey with me! I’m very excited to see what 2019 brings.
And, for you, I hope your last year was filled with amazing memories. But, even more, I wish you a 2019 absolutely filled to the brim with love, joy, laughter, and adventure. See you on the other side!
