After connecting with fellow VT and NY wedding vendors on Facebook, I noticed a posting about a styled shoot that was planned and in need of some stationery. I was all over it as I absolutely love being involved in styled shoots. Vendors basically get to flex their creative muscles and put together a mock wedding day. The florals are always amazing and the venue is at your disposal. It is the perfect time to get creative and show off your skills as vendors!
We all decided on showcasing a lush, vintage, romantic vibe for this styled shoot. You can see this aesthetic come through with the florals, stationery designs, and the stunning dresses worn by the model. The focus was on simplicity with the color palette; blush pinks, ivories, and various shades of greens. I felt that with this look and feel, the best design for this shoot would be to utilize the 'Charleston' Stationery collection from my Grade-A Designs.
With the established color palette, I customized the 'Charleston' design to have a couple options that we could play with throughout the shoot. One option utilizing blush and pink a little bit more, and the other option utilizing different shades of green. Each came out stunning, and both worked really well with the rustic barn backdrop and the lush florals. Once I was finished with these designs, I couldn't wait for the shoot to actually happen. It's, obviously the best part!
Upon my arrival at the stunning Barn at Lorde Howe Valley in Ticonderoga, New York, I could barely wait to get out of the car and explore. It's about a 2 hour drive from Williston, Vermont, but it was so worth the trip; this venue is absolutely breathtaking. I met Sarah who runs the barn and she showed me all around the venue. Her family built the barn within the last few years and it was so well done; mixing the rustic aesthetic with modern finishes is wonderful. You get the best of both worlds!
I then had the pleasure to meet Rena from Rena's Fine Flowers out of Saratoga, NY. As soon as I walked into the barn, I noticed the ladder hanging over the styled dining table full of lush foliage. I immediately ask her if that was her creation; and of course, it was! I knew I was in for a treat with this styled shoot and being able to pair my stationery with her beautiful styled florals.
And the photography that you see in this blog post? Amazing, I know. That is all shot by the talented, hilarious, and jovial Garren from Garrentee Photography . His photos are absolutely stunning and his ability to capture light and detail is out of this world. He is one of the most fun and friendly vendors I have met thus far and I would recommend him in a heartbeat to any bride and groom looking for a photographer! Just look at these stunning photos! You may, or may not, be able to tell that we had a cold rainy day in Ticonderoga. But, no problem for Garren - the photos still came out absolutely stunning!
The love that is displayed in the photography between the models is actually real. Yes! The models that we were blessed with for this shoot were a newly married couple! How perfect! I then met the beautiful Jenna and her new husband Ryan Hotaling. Jenna looked absolutely stunning with her hair and makeup done up by Make Me Fabulous and in her dresses from Something Bleu Bridal both out of Saratoga Springs, NY.
The outcome from this shoot was nothing short of perfection, even with the inclement weather! I was so happy to work with these wonderful people and vendors and would recommend them to any bride or groom looking for these services! I cannot wait to hopefully work with them again very soon.
