April 22nd, 2017 was such a wonderful, beautiful day for my family and me. It was a day filled with so much love and emotion not only for the bride and groom, but for all of the guests as well. It was the day that my Sister-in-Law married my now, Brother-in-Law!
Not only was I honored to be a part of the wedding day; I was also able to help the Bride and Groom to create their own customized stationery suite!
The suite was a labor of love between Kailey, Adam, and myself. Kailey and Adam both helped to draw the illustrations for the Save the Dates, and were also involved in creating drawings for the Invitation suite. We wanted to tie in the Pennsylvania Dutch style hex signs that were on the outside of the barn reception venue. Therefore, we decided to incorporate subtle graphics that allude to the shapes and elements of a hex sign into their stationery suite.
Kailey and Adam chose to feature a pigeon illustration to relate back to the city where they fell in love; New York. And, of course, the pigeon linked back to the idea of a carrier pigeon! It was only right to put them on the RSVP cards!
We used their wedding theme colors; teals, pinks, gold, and grey. These colors were also sprinkled through into the Brides gown, the tablescapes, the wedding party attire, and the bouquets.
Every detail of their wedding day was thought out and carried sentimental value. From the paper flower centerpieces, the eucalyptus leaves on the tables and the invitations, the paper flower bouquets, the hand-made wedding dress; YES - HAND-MADE, to the custom glass graphics... every piece of their day held a meaning.
Kailey and Adam's love for each other is undeniable. We were all witness to that on their wedding day. I am so honored that I was a part of it in so many ways.
