I cannot believe that it has been five months since Megan and Ross have tied the knot! To celebrate the five month mark, I wanted to finally post about their beautiful wedding at the Cape Club on Cape Cod. I can tell through the photography that their day was a true reflection of them. You can see that their smiles did not fade for one moment during their day. I was smiling myself looking at these amazing photos!
Traditional, classic, timeless, with a touch of glam was the look they were going for and I loved the idea. I was excited to create a more simple, timeless design for Megan & Ross. Most of my stationery designs up until that point were very colorful, modern, and illustrative. It was a nice change of pace for me creatively!
Megan and Ross knew what they wanted in terms of the look they were going for which made for such a smooth design process. Black and gold was a must throughout the invitation suite. We added that touch of glam with an ivory shimmer paper with a corresponding ivory and gold lined envelope. The outcome was a beautiful marriage of modern and traditional.
Megan was looking to have a custom map of the Cape Cod area drawn up with highlights and places to have her guests visit. I love illustrating custom maps for my clients and it adds a really fun element into the design. We highlighted where the ceremony and reception were taking place, along with fun things to do along the cape.
These two were so amazing to work with; we even met up for beers to discuss stationery. How awesome is that? They were some of my very first clients who really helped to get Sugarhouse Stationery off of the ground. I am so honored that I was given the chance to create this beautiful stationery suite for them and to help them in this way for their wedding.
Cheers to the happy couple!
